Enjoy an unforgettable holiday in Portugal.
The Oitavos is an impressive five-star boutique hotel in picturesque Quinta de Marinha, nestled in the heart of the outstanding award-winning Oitavos Dunes golf course.
Constructed almost purely of glass, guests of The Oitavos can enjoy mesmerising vistas across the pine forest, sand dunes, golf course and ocean. The rooms and suites are contemporary and stylish, boasting floor-to-ceiling glass doors that lead onto a spacious balcony.
Located in Cascais, The Oitavos is an ideal hotel for a golfing break in Portugal owing to its onsite Arthur Hills-designed golf course and close proximity to the bustling city of Lisbon, just a 20-minute drive away. Its breathtaking location makes for pleasant walks or cycle rides along the coast, whilst enjoying the beautiful backdrop of the Sintra Mountains.
Away from the course, The Oitavos has an amazing spa featuring saunas, Turkish baths and heated saltwater pool, whilst outside there is a sun terrace with magnificent infinity pool looking out to the golf course and Atlantic Ocean beyond. More active guests can enjoy horse-riding around the hotel grounds or down to the beach, cycling, or playing watersports or tennis. Helicopter tours over the beautiful beaches, ocean, cliffs and pretty villages can also be arranged.
Dining at The Oitavos is exquisite, with four restaurants each serving delicious dishes created using locally-sourced ingredients. Diners can also choose the Chef’s Table for a unique gastronomic experience.

Golf Courses
Guests of The Oitavos can play on the outstanding number one golf course in Portugal, and one of the elite courses in Continental Europe, Oitavos Dunes.
Golf course architect Arthur Hills created the course with careful consideration for the natural environment, so much so that the course was awarded Gold Signature Sanctuary status by Audubon International. Oitavos Dunes is also ranked as number 55 in Golf Magazine’s Top 100 Golf Courses in the World.
One of the finest natural links courses, 18-hole, par 71 Oitavos Dunes is situated within Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, and boasts astonishing ocean views whilst being exposed to the Atlantic breezes. The first few holes have pine tree and bunker-lined fairways, which then open up to views of Cabo da Roca. The 18th hole runs alongside the hotel, whereby a hook can put you out of bounds in the swimming pool area.
This magnificent course hosted the 2006 and 2007 PGA Tour Estoril Open of Portugal – and in 2019 hosted the GolfSixes Cascais, with Ryder Cup players Jamie Donaldson, Stephen Gallacher and Edoardo Molinari amongst those playing in the innovative six-hole event.
