Sales Executive & Former Ladies European Tour Professional

From a young age, golf has been my love and passion. After a successful amateur career representing Wales for 10 years, I turned professional in 2009 and played on the Ladies European Tour for three years until injury ended my career. After being a touring professional, creating bespoke golf holidays around the world and getting the opportunity to experience the courses first-hand is the best job in golf!

I joined Elegant Golf Resorts in 2018 and have been fortunate enough to arrange many fantastic holidays around the world. I get a real buzz out of sending people to resorts that I have been to, or courses that I have played, knowing the client is going to have an amazing time and enjoy it just as much as I did. I also enjoy arranging holidays for special events such anniversaries and birthdays and love it when a client asks me to organise an extravagant excursion.

My favourite course is Bandon Dunes, Oregon, USA. It’s by far one of the best Links courses I have ever played, and it holds fond memories as it’s where I won four out of four points in the 2006 Curtis Cup. I also love the Royal Hotel Evian Resort in Europe; the hotel is pure luxury and the views of Lake Geneva from the golf course are breath-taking.

Luxury Sales Specialist

Having worked for one of the larger golf tour operators I wanted to focus on the luxury side of travel combining the best resorts in the world with the best service possible. Joining Elegant Golf Resorts has enabled me to do this. The trips we book are not just golf holidays, they are experiences.

I started golf at a young age at my local course in Bishops Stortford and now have moved to The Hertfordshire where I maintain a handicap of 2. From a young age, I have travelled to many places across the globe, finding a second home for the last 18 years in Quinta do Lago in the Algarve where I was a member up until 2019 whereas now I am a member at Vale do Lobo. If you asked me what my favourite golf resort is in Europe I would say PGA Catalunya, their hotels, facilities and courses are second to none. The attention to detail in all aspects of this resort is astounding, from the seasonal scents that are pumped through the hotels ventilation system that changes each day to the eco-conservation gardens that are completely manicured!

One of my favourite resorts outside of the EU is the Palace of the Lost City (Sun City) in South Africa. The fantasy of an African palace is indulged in every detail, from the stately volumes of the reception and dining areas to the mosaics, frescoes and fountains that enhance the architecture. The Gary Player Golf and Country Club is a fantastic challenge for any golfer! I would advise going there the first 2 weeks of November so you can watch the Nedbank Golf Challenge!

My favourite golf memory is being on the 18th green of Augusta National whilst Tiger Woods finished his putt to win the Masters in 2019. A memory I will never forget, everyone jumping in the air throwing their drinks around in celebration! I was soaked!

Any enquiries please don’t hesitate to contact me on 02084217629 and I would love to get you on a fairway in the near future!

Head of Golf Operations

I have been working in the golf travel business since 1999. I have worked with suppliers from all over the world in that time and I count myself as very lucky to have visited some incredible places.

Undoubtedly the highlight is visiting the Masters at Augusta. Every golfer should aim to go once in their lifetimes (at least). Bearing in mind the hype around the event, it genuinely exceeds all expectations. It is a very special place and the ultimate bucket-list experience.

My favourite courses I have played are Pebble Beach Golf Links and Valderrama. Pebble Beach blows your mind! It is a gentle opening for the first couple of holes but when you are half-way down the 4th hole, the Pacific comes into view and stays on your right-hand side for the next 7 holes. The short 7th is obviously amazing but I love the 8th even better with a knee-knocking second shot over the sea. Of course, the 18th is also an awe-inspiring finish. Valderrama in Southern Spain is just outstanding. It has a lot of history with Seve’s 1997 Ryder Cup being played there. I love the design which requires you to think your way around the course and it is also always in immaculate condition.

My personal favourites in terms of destinations are South Africa and the US. They do say that South Africa is a world in one country and that pretty much sums it up. It is a holiday with golf rather than a golf holiday because there is so much to see and do. Cape Town is my favourite city in the world with beaches, wine, Table Mountain and stunning golf courses. However, there is also the spectacular Garden Route, Safaris, Kwazulu Natal and so much more. The USA is an absolute must-visit country for golfers. There are so many different States to go and play golf with so much variety. My own preferences are South Carolina and California, both with stunning coastlines and world-class golf with the best service that you will get anywhere.

I like to think I have a pretty good range of experience of golfing around the world and am always on hand to offer advice or recommendations.

Senior Product & Commercial Manager

Over 23 Years in the travel industry

Having been bitten by the travel bug at a young age due to having family in the USA, New Zealand and Australia, my career in travel began as an Overseas Representative in Spain. More than 20 years have passed since then, during which I’ve enjoyed commercial roles in aviation, travel technology and most recently, as Product & Commercial Manager with luxury tour operator If Only…

I have been fortunate to visit some amazing destinations. For the broadest variety of experiences, it is difficult to beat New Zealand. Stunning scenery, beaches, wildlife and of course wine are some of the many highlights. Mauritius is another favourite, with its world-class golf courses, beautiful beaches and melting pot of cultures. Another diverse and beautiful destination is Oman. From exploring the souks in Muscat to witnessing the spectacular sight of new-born turtles heading out to the ocean, there is something for everyone.

As Senior Product & Commercial Manager, I keep abreast of new hotels and experiences worldwide, ensuring that we offer our clients the very best choices to meet their tailor-made travel requirements.

Work and play are equally important to me and working in the travel industry ticks both boxes. I also have a young son who keeps me on my toes and ensures I never take my foot off the pedal!

Travel has always been in my blood and travel whenever I can. My favourite experience was Brazil during the World Cup. Even though I didn’t get tickets for a game, the atmosphere meant it was a one in a lifetime experience.

I’ve been in the travel industry for 12 years specialising in the luxury travel sector for the last seven. Attention to detail is important to me and I take great pride in ensuring the finer elements of every booking are exactly as they should be.

Senior Administration

My passion for travel started when I was very young with my Grandad always telling me stories about the places he travelled and showing me the most amazing pictures. After leaving school I had my mind set that I was going to be an Air Hostess for Emirates and I was moving to Dubai.

Then I met my partner and he bought me a cat and that is where my plans changed…  I got my first job in a major tour operator in 2012 which helped me build my work experience and of course, build my all-important travel portfolio. I have been lucky enough to travel the world and my other big passion is cruising and I’ve been onboard most of the major cruise lines.

I don’t usually visit the same place twice but for some reason, Dubai keeps pulling me back – I think it’s the amazing cars and the sunshine which we don’t get a lot of in Scotland!

I joined the EFR Family in 2019 taking on the role of Senior Administration and look forward to assisting clients with all their pre-travel arrangements.

Digital Marketing & Website Manager

I joined EFR Travel in 2016 as Digital Marketing & Website Manager where it is my responsibility to take care of everything to do with our online presence. Unlike my colleagues who are all travel fanatics, my expertise lies with PPC, SEO, Social Media and Email Marketing.  In fact, everything digital!  But with travel being a close second, this is the perfect position for me.

I love the varied nature of my role and the freedom to be creative and express myself.  I think my colleagues would describe me as driven, patient and analytical, which I think are necessary traits to have when you’re dealing with the challenges of digital marketing!

My favourite destination is Bali for its picture-perfect paradisiacal scenery. Our stay at The St. Regis Bali Resort was out of this world and I’d love to return someday…

When I’m not chained to my laptop or travelling my other passion is football, and for my sins, I’m an avid follower of Peterborough United.

Originally from India, my father served in the Air Force and as a result I was fortunate enough to travel the length and breadth of India and to some fabulous places around the world before moving to London 18 years ago.  This certainly gave me the travel bug and so working in the travel industry was an obvious choice as a career.

I have enjoyed working in the luxury travel sector for more than 20 years and joined EFR Travel in 2007. Over the years I have experienced some amazing destinations and I love sharing my knowledge with my clients. My favourite destinations include the many islands of the Maldives with their picture-perfect beaches and Bali, for its spiritual and varied culture and lifestyle.

Attention to detail is key to me and I take great care in creating the perfect holiday for my clients, right down to the smallest aspects of their trip! It gives me a huge sense of pride and achievement when my clients return from their holiday having had a wonderful time.

Since my first Saturday job working for a Tour Operator despatching tickets, I knew I would continue with a career in travel. It’s something I have always been passionate about and over the past 20 years I have been lucky enough to visit some of the most beautiful places on Earth. Since joining Luxury Worldwide Collection, I have visited some amazing locations in Europe, Middle East and the Indian Ocean, and more recently, extended my knowledge of the Caribbean with a fabulous trip to Barbados.

One of my favourite destinations is the Far East, which I know intimately! I love it for the culture, the people, the beaches and its unique atmosphere. The Maldives are also very special to me. The resorts there represent the ultimate in luxury and I love the different shades of blue, from the sea to the sky.

I pride myself on being conscientious. I think my colleagues would describe me as fun and genuine. My passion is creating complex itineraries based on my extensive travel experience.

Travel has long been my passion. I began working in the travel industry in 1989 and have almost 30 years of experience including a few years working in Sri Lanka and Dubai. Having originally started in Corporate Travel, I moved to the leisure travel industry 15 years ago and have been a member of the EFR Travel team since 2006.

As I am originally from Sri Lanka, I will always have a special place in my heart for this destination. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with diverse cultures, world heritage sights, wildlife, beautiful beaches and amazing people. However, my dream destination is the Maldives.  The turquoise blue water, white sandy beaches, beautiful marine life and amazing variety of food would take me back to the Maldives every time.

During my years in luxury travel I have had the privilege to stay in many luxurious hotels and to visit fascinating and interesting countries, most recent being China, Japan and Vietnam. Visiting diverse destinations broadens the horizons and it gives me great pleasure in sharing my experiences with my clients and making their dream holidays memorable.

Don't just take our word for it
