Antognolla Resort & Residence, situated 12.5 miles north of Perugia near the regional border of Tuscany, is a new luxury golf resort that is currently under construction. Despite being in development, this resort has already garnered a huge amount of attention and excitement within the golfing industry.

The hotel is operated by the exceptional wellness and sustainability brand Six Senses, known for its hospitality and tailored experiences that assist guest’s connections with the world around them.

The resort is made up of several historical buildings that will be preserved and restored to their original features. The stunning landscape surrounding these buildings, features elegant interiors and expansive panoramic views of the stunning countryside.

The highlight of this resort is the stunning 18-hole golf course, crafted by the renowned designer Robert Trent Jones Jr., which runs through the heart of the estate. Featuring lengthy fairways bordered by cliffs, rolling greens, and challenging lakes, the course is created to offer playability throughout the year.

This course in previous years won the ‘Italy’s Best Golf Course’ from the renowned World Golf Awards.  Additionally, in 2021, the course was host to the inaugural Antognolla Alps Tour event.

The eighteen-hole course is currently open, but the rest of the resort is set to open in 2026, it will showcase a 12th-century castle and estate as well as the Six Senses resort with 71 rooms and 79 residences.

The local area is known for its fresh natural ingredients, which is used within the resort. Guests and residents will enjoy the very best of local produce, including herbs, olives, fruit, and vegetables grown on the estate itself.

Golf

Antognolla is recognized as one of Italy’s most breathtaking and challenging golf courses. Its eighteen holes feature long fairways bordered by cliffs, scenic water hazards, and vast, lush greens. Crafted by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Junior, the design of Antognolla promises an exciting and rewarding golfing experience for players of all abilities.

The course has undergone a multi-million euro investment in 2018, with all bunkers revamped and new irrigation and drainage systems put in place.

The Club House restaurant offers more than just typical clubhouse. Standing out as the premier rustic dining destination, drawing diners from all over the region. Visitors and locals alike can savour the finest local produce, such as herbs, olives, fruits, and vegetables cultivated on the estate.

Indulge in the stunningly picturesque driving range and take advantage of complimentary unlimited range balls. Next to the  clubhouse and restaurant, you’ll find a practice area for improving your putting and chipping skills. The Proshop is fully equipped with all golfing necessities, premium brands, and equipment.
