The resort’s most opulent suite, measuring 230 square-metres, there is a bedroom with king-size Westin Heavenly Bed®, a walk-in closet, a separate living room with corner sofa and dining table, and an open-plan kitchen. The Heavenly Spa by Westin offers a peaceful haven in an authentic Moorish-style setting. Luxury facilities include a sauna, aromatic steam bath, hammam, hydro-massage pool and exterior pool, as well as eight wellness treatment room where guests can enjoy massages, facials and physiotherapy.

The resort has two restaurants and three bars, which are a delight to dine in. Sunsa Restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner, serving delightful Mediterranean dishes in a relaxing atmosphere. The terrace overlooks the pool should you wish to dine al fresco. The Clubhouse Restaurant is a more casual eatery, which boasts wonderful panoramic views over the golf course. It serves a selection of mouth-watering Mediterranean meals and snacks specially created to maximise golfers’ performances on the green.

Situated next to the spa is the Kid’s Club, suitable for children between 4 and 12. There is an outdoor playground, indoor centre for playing and learning, picnic area, ping-pong table, splash pool and sports court.

There is a good variety of holes on this course, with some delightful par-3s being off-set by exacting long holes, where finding the correct position off the tee is crucial. The highlight is the 5th, where the fairway is banked on either side by mature pine trees and out-of-bounds.

The Ronda Course has rolling fairways and fast green, which will test the precision and accuracy of every golfer. There are blind tee shots to be negotiated, whilst the most challenging hole is undoubtedly the long 6th, which requires three good strikes to find the target.

Set against the backdrop of the awe-inspiring Sierra Blanca mountain range, the Guadaiza is the newest addition to La Quinta Golf. It is also the longest of the three loops, demanding powerful and accurate drives. Negotiating the three successive par-5s is the key to mastering the Guadaiza, which is the most technical of the three courses.
