Golf Courses

Castlemartyr Golf Resort is an 18 hole, 6,790 yard, Par 72, inland links style course. It is the creation of renowned golf course designer Ron Kirby, whose CV includes such Irish masterpieces as Dromoland Castle, the Old Head, and Mount Juliet, as well as Gleneagles in Scotland. Castlemartyr is designed to be a visually pleasing yet challenging and ultimately enjoyable test for golfers of any calibre.

Enjoy wonderful facilities, from the course to the practice areas and putting green, coupled with first class service in the Pro Shop and clubhouse.

Just 12 miles from Kinsale Hotel & Spa, Old Head is one of Ireland’s most spectacular links courses located on the Old Head of  Kinsale that juts out over two miles into the Atlantic Ocean.

As one of the most photographed golf courses in the world, Old Head provides an unforgettable links golf experience that is revered the world over and adorns many of the Top 100 Golf Course lists not just in Ireland but Europe and further afield.

This natural headland’s championship course is one of the most exhilarating places to play golf given its unique setting.

 

Just  5 kilometres from  Kinsale, the course is in a rural setting and has stunning views of the surrounding countryside. It measures 6,935 yards and consists of two nine hole loops finishing at the Clubhouse. The Club has played host to major tournaments including the All Ireland Finals of the Cups & Shields in its Centenary year 2012. The Club has a full range of practice facilities including , 6 bay driving range, putting and chipping greens and Pro Shop.

The renowned Fota Island Golf Club is set amidst the fantastic scenery of the estate itself.  There is a choice of three championship length courses on-site all measuring 6900 yards and over.

Deerpark Course

Since its inception, the championship course has played host to the Irish Open in 2001, 2002 and 2014 and has established a reputation as one of Ireland’s best.

Belvelly Course

The Belvelly’s par-72 layout includes the new nine holes added by Jeff Howes in recent times, and is a formidable test at 7,121 yards from the back markers. Interesting features have been worked into the design, not least on the signature 16th hole, where visiting golfers face the challenge of firing their approach shot over an old quarry to a small target.

Barryscourt Course

The par-73 Barryscourt Course also takes in the new nine holes, and is the latest addition to Fota Island’s impressive portfolio of golf. The course is a monster from the back tees, but the characteristic slope of the greens will also undoubtedly challenge the putting of every visitor. The highlight of Fota’s latest course is the redesigned 8th, which features an array of hazards to be safely negotiated.
