Golf Courses
Formby Hall is home to two courses, as well as a PGA academy.
The expansive 72-par Championship course has previously hosted the European Challenge Tour, PGA Euro Pro Tour and the European Seniors Tour, making it a course to be reckoned with. The course’s turf is well maintained for a consistent all-year-round playing surface, while definition comes in the form of bunkers, water hazards and wooded areas.
This 18-hole course located on the coast of Aberdeenshire is 10 minutes from the thriving city centre and is proud to have reached No.35 in the Golf World Magazine ranking of the Top 100 Courses in Scotland. Originally designed by Archie Simpson before it was revised by James Braid, you’ll be met by sloping sand dunes and fairways and stunning views over the North Sea. A popular course to play whilst you’re here.
This 9-hole course also features water hazards and bunkers, with light rises and dips in the course to keep things interesting.
From a floodlit driving range to golf lessons, the PGA academy has something to offer golfers of all levels. GASP video analysis helps players see exactly what they need to do to improve their game, while outdoor putting greens and a short game area help them put everything into practice.
