Majorca

Majorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands, has since the 1960's been one of Europe's most popular destinations for the British holiday maker, however it is only in recent years that it has captured the imagination of the British golfer. Palma is a delightful city to visit. The imposing Cathedral dominates the skyline, the chic marina is full of millionaire's yachts, and as a place to visit a truly cosmopolitan ambiance prevails in the restaurants and tapas bars.

The island is full of great beach resorts, rocky outcrops and lovely golden sand beaches, a superb picturesque and mountainous interior, our featured resorts are all part of the Starwood chain of hotels, top quality and with 3 golf courses as part of the chain as of 2008.

Majorca tends to be less hot than the Canaries, which in the summer time is welcome as the cooling sea breeze makes it perfect, but it can get it a bit chilly in December and January. We recommend travelling out there from February through to November. Majorca is part of the Balearic Islands, which are on the same latitude as the Costa Brava in mainland Spain. The Island wins the prize as the most picturesque and varied landscape of all the Spanish Islands, with a superb landscape and strict styling in architectural terms, which keep it looking at all times very classy. If you wish to play golf courses on other parts of the Island, out with the Starwood courses we can of course quote you for any in Majorca.
