In February 2008 the hotel re-opened after a huge re-investment programme and became a 5 star hotel for the first time. It is a superb hotel now, but always had an exclusive feel to it, often being the venue for summer vacations of the rich and famous in Portugal.
Situated just west of Cascais, on the road to the amazing Oitavos Dunes course, Quinta da Marinha has a wonderful 18 holes Robert Trent Jones course on site.
The bedrooms and overall style of the hotel is chic and contemporary, all rooms have great balconies, which look out over the pool or the golf course. There is a super terraced swimming pool and a new health and leisure centre, which includes a Spa facility with treatments and massage. Depending on the season and your duration, there are periods when some golf is included free of charge on the Quinta course. The best restaurants are the Italian and traditional Portuguese options. However, there are some wonderful restaurants in and around Cascais especially if you like fish and seafood.
