Golf Courses :

There are 54 holes of top class golf on site, which have been so cleverly designed over the hilly landscape, including the toughest Campo America, the shorter Campo Asia and the impressive newer Campo Europa. The David Leadbetter Golf Academy does personal and group tuition which we can book you up on in advance, the facility includes driving bays, with sea view, a driving range, putting and chipping greens and a putting studio. La Cala´s clubhouse and sun terrace are the most spectacular on the Costa del Sol. At certain times of year buggies are included in the green fees. If you want 1 round off the La Cala Resort we recommend the Santanna Course just adjacent to La Cala or Torrequebrada.

La Cala Campo America

The longest and toughest course, it used to be known as the North Course. There are some beautiful golf holes, which require a strong nerve and excellent shot making to play to your handicap. Main features include elevated tees, magnificent vista, roller coaster fairways up hill, down hill and across hill. You will never get bored playing here. The 18th is an incredible roller coaster down hill par 4 to finish, the course also has quite a bit of water to contend with. Buggies strongly recommended.

La Cala Campo Asia

Otherwise known as the South Course this is the most playable course and quite a bit shorter than the America Course. However, the Asia is very tricky and with so many changes of elevation and raised greens. To play well here you have to keep it straight and out of the bunkers which guard most greens so well. Again the views on all holes take your breath away. Buggies are recommended.

La Cala Campo Europa

The Europa opened in 2005 and was again designed by Cabell Robinson, it is probably the best 18 and is easier to play, because the fairways are more generous, coupled with the fact that the course has larger greens. The River Ojen comes into play on no less than 8 holes. This course too is a little lower down the mountainside so one can walk the course rather than hire a buggy for a change.
