Our 4 featured islands are Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Majorca, all of which are well serviced mainly by charter airlines. As it is more than 4 hours from the UK, it is hard to pick up cheap flights, however, the Canaries is all about top quality hotels, lovely guaranteed year round sunshine and stunning mountain scenery, with some amazing golf resorts such as Abama and Salobre to try.
Many think Abama is the best golf resort in Europe and we have some superb deals to offer in 2009, as they are one of our main strategic partners, with an equally sumptuous Spa facility to match the quality of the golf course.
In Fuerteventura the lovely boutique Elba Palace Hotel offers guaranteed all year round sunshine and a great golf package, which includes 5 rounds of golf on two courses and dinner bed and breakfast. If you enjoy water sports this is the world's number 1 venue for windsurfing, plus like the other Canary Islands there is some beautiful mountain scenery to drive around and explore although not as incredible as Mount Teide in Tenerife with its volcanic springs.
Majorca tends to be less hot than the Canaries, which in the summer time is welcome as the cooling sea breeze makes it perfect, but it can get it a bit chilly in December and January. We recommend travelling out there from February through to November. Majorca is part of the Balearic Islands, which are on the same latitude as the Costa Brava in mainland Spain
