The purpose built beach resort region of Belek, which lies just 40 minutes east from the airport of Antalya has invested a fortune in luxurious golf courses over the last 10 years, in addition to an array of spectacular 5 star resort hotels. There are now 252 holes, all located within a small radius of just 20 minutes, making it the most concentrated golfing region in Europe, all of which are of the utmost quality, we would safely recommend every single golf course for the most discerning of golf visitor, there simply is no weak link. Signature courses have recently opened, such as the tough Cornelia Faldo 27 hole lay out and more recently in 2008, the Montgomerie Papillon Golf Club. Two great courses designed by two of Britain’s golfing legends over the last 20 years, Nick and Colin “Monty”.

The new heath-land course Carya, which opened in November 08, even has its own heather nursery, to give it a real Surrey style feel, with heather bordering many fairways, whilst the first ever pure links course opened also in November 08 (Lykia Links),designed by the great Perry Dye, who was also responsible for Harbour Town Links and Kiawah Island in the USA.

Golf in Turkey is all about top 5 star hotels, many of which have superb value all inclusive food and beverage, with great golf courses, many of which are attached to the hotels. Plus one of the other attractions is that you can go on holiday as the organiser and totally relax in the knowledge that your transfers are all included, there is no car hire and thus no stressful driving to and from the golf courses each day.

Great temperatures all year round and lovely courses carved mostly through avenues of umbrella pines and across natural sand ridges, with crystal lakes and lovely panoramas of the Taurus mountains inland ,make Belek a special golfing venue and becoming more popular every year. The new links at Lykia is a stunning seaside links which has natural dunes and close proximity to the beach – the only course with the exception of TAT Golf to be so close to the sea.
