The resort of Lemuria is on the exquisite tranquil island of Praslin, which is just one of the many small island that make up the Seychelles. There are no direct flights to Praslin, but there are regular connecting 10 minute local flights from Mahe International airport, with a direct service from London with Air Seychelles, or British Airways. Alternatively you can fly via Dubai with Emirates and have a couple of nights in Dubai.
The Seychelles are a palette of subtle colours, ranging from the turquoise blue of the Indian Ocean to the emerald green of its lush interiors and the glowing amber of its glorious beaches. Situated 8,000 kms from Europe the Seychelles are made up of 115 islands scattered over an area of 400,00 sq metres. It has more natural marine parks than anywhere else in the world so fantastic for scuba diving or snorkelling.
The Seychelles also has its summer between November to March, when it is at its hottest and most humid, we recommend travellers try the off season period, when it is better value and not too hot! There are 800 species of fish in the islands waters and of course the famous turtles and flocks of bright coloured birds. Praslin is home of the famous and unique double coconut, known as the “Coco de Mer”.
