Four Seasons Resort

Mauritius

Welcome to the Indian Ocean and to the paradise island of Mauritius, where there are now some of the world’s finest golf resorts, which have been developed in the last 10 years and now one is almost spoilt for choice with 7 great golf resort venues to choose from.

Mauritius is just over 12 hours from London and we can offer a variety of airlines and classes, whether it be Virgin Atlantic, Air Mauritius, British Airways or Emirates via Dubai.

The Island lies east of Madagascar, on a parallel to Cape Town and enjoys a wonderful temperate climate all year long, the locals say avoid just the last 2 weeks of July, which is the height of their winter season and February, when it can be too humid and there are chances of tropical storms. For golfers it rarely gets too hot, perhaps 34 degrees in December or January would be the hottest time of year, but the ocean winds always can make it bearable especially in the mornings. The most popular time for golfers is seemingly April to mid June , September and October, when there are great deals to be had, yet the climate is ideal for golf, with temperatures from the mid to late 20s.

The main holidaymakers tend to go during European winters, so accordingly the prices are more expensive in the hotels during November to March. The golf resorts featured are all in coastal locations which benefit from micro climates and little rain, whilst the centre of the Island where a lot of the locals live and where most of the mountains are found tends to see a lot of rain all year round.

Mauritians speak French, English and the native language Creole, cars drive on the left, the currency is the Rupee and there are about 45 Rupees to the UK Pound. The Island is a mix of Races from all over the Globe, the Dutch, the French, the British, Africans, Chinese and Indians all enter into the melting pot of culture and mixed religions, but there are no extremists of any religion. This is a peaceful Island and when you visit it for the first time you will see why, it is quite simply Paradise on Earth.

If you enjoy great special offers then travel between May and mid October.
