Italy is not really well known for its golf resorts yet, compared to other Mediterranean countries, yet it has been developing well over the last 5 years and we will be watching carefully for the best golf resorts, as they become available and once we have time to check them out.

The climate has to be ideal because we are seeking to offer each of our destinations as year round holiday venues, we have started with the furthest south we could have considered, the south coast of Sicily, featuring the remarkable Verdura Golf & Spa Resort.

Sicily is Italy in miniature and has the most beautiful unspoilt scenery you could imagine or wish for, its location allows us to recommend it as a pure winter destination as well as a summer destination. The Rocco Forte Collection’s new masterpiece sets new standard in resort golf properties on the Mediterranean with 36 holes designed by Kyle Phillips who was responsible for the Grove near London and Kingsbarns near St Andrews.
